Moja: Focus ("Moja", "the app", "we", "us") is developed by Joseph Kalolo. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Moja is designed to collect as little data as possible:

Anonymous identifier. When you first open the app, an anonymous authentication token is created via Firebase. This is a random identifier — not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information.
Focus data. The text you enter as your focus task is stored locally on your device and, if signed in, in Firebase. This data powers the app's core features (widget, Live Activities, streaks).
Subscription status. If you purchase Moja Premium, Apple processes the payment and communicates your subscription status to the app. We never receive your payment details, name, or Apple ID email.
Usage analytics. We may collect anonymised, aggregated usage data via Firebase Analytics to improve the app. This data cannot identify you.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Your name, email address, or phone number (unless you voluntarily create an account)
Your location
Your contacts, camera, or microphone
Any advertising identifiers

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the core features of Moja
To sync your focus data across your devices (if signed in)
To verify your subscription status
To understand how the app is used and make improvements

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase — anonymous authentication, cloud storage, and analytics
Apple StoreKit — in-app subscription management and payment processing

5. Data Retention

Your focus data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account from within the app, your data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days. Anonymised analytics data may be retained for up to 24 months.

6. Data Security

All data transmitted between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit using TLS. Firebase security rules ensure that each user can only access their own data.

7. Children's Privacy

Moja is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
